Stress

Modern life is full of hassles, deadlines, frustrations, and demands. For many people, stress is so commonplace that it has become a way of life. Stress isn’t always bad. In small doses, it can help you perform under pressure and motivate you to do your best. But when you’re constantly running in emergency mode, your mind and body pay the price.

Stress is the feeling of being under too much mental or emotional pressure. When pressure turns into stress you feel unable to cope. People have different ways of reacting to stress, so a situation that feels stressful to one person may be motivating to someone else. Stress can affect how you feel, think behave and your body work and responds to certain things. Common sign of stress is sleeping problems, sweating, loss of appetite and difficulty concentrating. Stress can make you feel anxious, irritable or low in self esteem, and may have racing thoughts, worry constantly or go things in your head. You may notice that you lose your temper more easily, drink more or act unreasonably.
